Diagnosis
Mesosoma and gaster similar to cupreus and fraternus, but cockerelli with mesoscutum with raised and strong reticulation. Mesoscutum and scutellum similar to opsiphanis but with median carina on propodeum narrow in opsiphanis (hardly any variation in this character in the hundreds of specimens of opsiphanis examined); mesoscutum, scutellum and propodeum similar to cacao, but cacao with distinct antennal clava in female (antennae missing in lectotype of cockerelli, but there is no mention in the original description that cockerelli has a distinct antennal clava), and to apantelivorus, but apantelivorus with longer female gaster and with gaster with 1st tergite with punctures.
